Attended: Lift Off 3 (February 2011)

Where were you in your entrepreneurial journey before Lift Off? Beginning stages of getting the word out about the message and service I provide – coaching for family members who have loved ones with mental illness. Trying to coordinate a lot of things while still working a demanding day job and maintain a life.

What are you up to now? Lift Off gave me the confidence to give a couple of public talks and begin to reach out to more people. I’ve interviewed several authors relevant to families impacted by mental illness – something I think I would I have delayed. The power of having this group behind me has allowed me to understand that for me staying at my day job is important for my family yet doesn’t mean that I’m dropping the ball. As one person told me – it can actually open up a lot more creativity because I’m not scrambling for income. This has now lead me to try the possibility of audio products for family members and to seriously begin writing.

What was your favorite thing about Lift Off? By far the entire experience was awesome because of the people, the location and the opportunity to explore ideas with a really focused group of people. At times I think all of us felt some confusion yet there was this incredible sense of group focus and support. The level of selfless sharing was incredible and continues to be. Every single person has helped me not only in a business sense but on a personal level to be a better person.
